Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Point2 Technologies Inc. seeks an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person to join our dynamic team of Software Quality Assurance Analysts.
Primary Duties
- Define test strategies and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications
- Execute manual and automated test cases to verify the conformance of our software product with specifications
- Report software defects completely, clearly and accurately
- Record and track test results and status completely, clearly and accurately
- Participate in design, code and test readiness reviews, as well as team meetings
Skills and Knowledge
Required:
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes
- In-depth understanding of software development and testing methodologies (functional testing, regression testing, load/stress testing, white box and black box testing)
- Solid background in one or more programming and/or scripting languages
- Experience with design and programming of automated tests
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills combined with a positive, team based approach
- Ability to operate effectively in an energetic, dynamic environment
Assets:
- Understanding of iterative, Agile development methods, processes and techniques such as Scrum
- Working knowledge of Java, .NET and related Web technologies
- Familiarity with installing, configuring, and administering of operating systems, database servers, and web servers would be an asset
- Experience with query languages and relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) would be an asset
- Knowledge of Ruby, Watir, FireWatir
Education and Experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Design Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in a similar position
- A computer technology diploma with appropriate experience may be considered acceptable

Intermediate Programmer/Analyst - Real Estate Division
Point2 is looking for motivated developers with strong problem solving, system design, and performance tuning skills to become part of the technical team developing enterprise software for the Real Estate industry. You will be working on the systems underlying homes.point2.com and agent.point2.com solving many of the exciting challenges we face in aggregating and syndicating the world’s real estate listing data and creating tools for agents and brokers to manage those listings.
Candidates must be team oriented, be able to work in a fast-paced, open environment, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy keeping up with industry and technical advancements.
Our ideal candidate excels at working on a team and has:
- Experience working in an Agile, XP environment
- Pair programming experience
- Test Driven Development Experience
- Enterprise application development in C# and/or Java
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby and Python
- Experience managing or designing databases with large amounts of data, and planning for future data growth
- Web Application performance tuning (i.e., reducing page size, improving data access, caching, etc.)
- Knowledge of Web caching architectures
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing technologies (MSMQ, Service Broker Queues, etc.)
- Experience developing n-tier enterprise web applications.
- Deep SQL knowledge, especially the ability to analyze SQL queries and tune performance, tune indexes, analyze query cost in terms of CPU, IO, and memory usage, etc.
- Experience with at least one of SQL Server or MySql
- A degree in Computer Science / Information Technology and/or a technical diploma in a related field
- At least 5 years development experience
- Been involved in the entire software development process, from concept to deployment
- Implemented theoretical principles into practical applications
- Outstanding communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow…continually
Assets:
- Parallel computing
- Experience implementing map/reduce algorithms
- Distributed computing with Hadoop or something similar

Technical Support Analyst

We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated individual to join our Real Estate Technical Support team. You will be the primary contact for our external real estate partners on technical support matters involving data syndication and MLS integration. Typical duties include:
- Liaison with external clients by email and telephone
